While my darling was attending conferences I took a cooking class with the chef at Guy Savoy, Mathieu Chartron!
Took a cooking class with a 2 Michelin star chef at Guy Savoy's at Caesar's Palace.

Gotta eat what ya kill so, yeah, I prepped, cooked, and slurped it all down - under a very watchful eye... ;)

Very cool experience - class size of one! Classes max at 6 people but 'twas only me that day and since I knew a bit more than rank amateurs, we zipped right along. BTW, those items were being served that night in the restaurant.

• Chestnut soup with sautéed mushrooms (variety) in the middle, droplets of chive infused oil, chestnut chips fried in olive oil, etc.
• Duck breast on top of a carrot puree adorned with peeled mushrooms and baby carrots - both glazed.

Plugra used everywhere!!! The photos show my meal, served to me, that I ate at the Chef's Table with 2 'adorable' wines... at the conclusion of the class.

It was tough.

BTW, the photos will be right-side up if you click on them...

We also went to a 3 Michelin star sushi restaurant, barMasa, that was so fabulous we went again another night - oh those little piggies us!

A private lesson! Looks fantastic. I think the lucky duck is not the one with the braised carrots.

Wino,

You had a much better time in Vegas than I ever had.

Wow, what an experience. I have never heard of chestnut mushroom soup, but I am intrigued and will be looking for a recipe!
