We got home a couple of hours ago and Kathy's doing as well as you can expect. The Dr. was able to repair the muscle arthroscopically without any grafts.
I had surgery on a shoulder 8 years ago so of course that makes me an expert on her recovery, side effects of Oxycontin, etc.

Thanks for letting us know how Cathy did....and glad she did well. The next few days are the worst, as you know....keep her meds ahead of the pain. This is not the time to be stoic.

Oxy in its various forms really doesn't work well for Kathy - we should have spoken up before the surgery. We'll see how it goes and cry Thursday or Friday.
