Kathy, You posted in General Information and we aren't allowed to reply to the post.
To answer your question, I am here. I did a dinner on the 9th of July for a friend of my mother's who turns 80 this year. There were 5 ladies and it was a lot of fun. I haven't done one of these dinners in 5 years and I forgot how much work is involved. First I planned the menu and then I designed one to print. My menu consisted of a Crostini with an Olive Tapenade, Julia Childs French Onion Soup Gratinee, Salad Greens with Julia's Lemon Vinaigrette, Chapagne Cocktail Sorbet, Julia'a Beef Bourgigone with Boiled Red Skins. For dessert I made Creme Brulee and I also had Raspberry Chocolate Truffles to finish off the meal. I used Grayson Cellars Cabernet for the Wine. Jackie was very surprised. She thought they were going to the Oasis (Bar) for Friday night Fish Fry.

Not been cooking that much. Made some giant raviolis with spinach-ricotta filling and an egg in the middle. Also chicken wings with sticky glaze, various forms of ribs on the grill, basically dinner type stuff. Finally got the CC sticky grilled ribs to work with out them carbonizing, and they were great. My eggplant plant has eggplants! The peppers have peppers and the tomatoes are fruiting as well. I can't tell if the fennel is getting big because the weeds my roommate wouldn't pull earlier are now blocking the ground.

Now that I got my ass married, I am back to cooking (weddings suck up an inordinate amount of effort) regularly, after an inspiration two weeks in Paris I've been enjoying doing a bunch of grilling, and cooking some pretty basic things.

Kathy,
I was travelling for 2 weeks: Madison, then Portland. Since one was an onsite consulting, and the other was a conference, the BB took a back seat, as it usually does this time of year.

Not been doing too much real cooking either due to the heat. Mostly salads, flatbread pizzas, nachos and grilling on weekends but nothing new or fancy. And cucumber salad up the wazzoo. So many cukes this year - loving that!
I agree Kathy - the heat definitely suppresses the appetite but I'm not so sure that's a bad thing

I haven't been doing all that much either, because of the heat, but also Tony didn't put up my gazebo, and it's too hot to stand out there and BBQ. I had a pop up tent, but the wind got it (evidently, you are supposed to pop it down when unattended.)
We've been having a lot of dinner salads, and BLT's and peel and eat shimp from the freezer, and cold soups. Not original at all.
