So my rosemary bushes continue to grow larger. The current FUBAR California weather really benefits them; alternating rain and sun all winter. It also has me popping Zyrtec like aspirin, but that's another story. Currently each of the two bushes is 4' high and 8' in diameter. Anyway, can anyone thing of things I can cook which use large quantities of rosemary? While I have quite a few recipes which use rosemary, they use just a little bit ... like one or two tablespoons. Rosemary is so powerful, it's hard to use more than that. Ideas? |

Fuzzy The web site http://www.herbcompanion.com has lots of ideas for using herbs. I have made a great Rosemary and Apple Jelly using one of their recipes and it was great as an accompainment to meats and fish as well as on cream cheese. They should have some good ideas as to how to use your bounty. Ilene |

I make a rosemary/lemon cake. Let me know if you're interested in the recipe. Unfortunately, it doesn't use vast amounts. fitzie |

It is a pruned, decorative shrub (and herb) in Victoria and Vancouver, BC - get some shears and worry naught! ![]() |

My EC at culinary school in Italy had two 5' tall rosemary bushes right outside his front door. He could never use that much, so as wino says, just trim them and call them decorative. He also had about 100 acres of vineyards, and made fabulous wine, but that's a different story. ![]() Amy |

I have an olive oil, chocolate, rosemary cake that is wonderful -- but I don't know that it uses tons of rosemary. |
