Just got back from the annual Garlic Festival in Saugerties (NY) and bought some beautiful garlic - the usuals: Music, Continental, and German White, and 3 new types I've never seen before: Georgian Crystal, Oregon Blue and Chesnok Red. Also got some beautiful regular shallots and 4-5" long French shallots (also new, for me). Can't wait to start planting, roasting and tasting!

I love that festival! Been there once and nearly OD'd on garlic!

Heavens! I never knew Saugerties had a garlic festival. I would have gone in past years.

This year was the 28th year! It's always the last full weekend in September. It really is a great festival and, all the garlic growers are solely from NY. If you're around you should definitely see it Becky!
