Heck, if she didn't get the money before giving up the cake, that's her problem right there. And sometimes the customer just doesn't like what you made. It sucks, and the comment "but it's LeBron James!" kind of makes me feel ill, but if you keep your mouth shut no one will blame you.

I believe she offered it for free, in order to get publicity for her business, but LeBron's posse didn't think he'd like it so they didn't serve it. Supposedly LeBron never even saw it. I thought it was kinda tacky, too. If I really thought that cake was worth $3k, I would quit my day job and make a bunch of $2k cakes to compete. I know that some of the really sculpted, out there cakes by known entities like Charm City probably fetch such prices, but IMO this wasn't a $3k cake.
