So if ultimate is better than the best why publish the best?

Ah, but that was the best-so-far. It was after the best they made the ultimate. They are suffering adjective inflation and it will only get worse. Of course, they tend to ignore the past anyway, so they can make another ultimate fried chicken.
From the number of other places I've see "best", I think they might be starting an adjective war.

Yeah, Amy, you're right. Fine Cooking does it well and so does Saveur. So much for trying to "get" the logic of it all. Wino, that picture says it all and then some. Nancy

I just wish Chris would not dress up in not-funny costumes and hats.
Like the banana he had on the other day. Uggh. He has an Alton Brown complex and just can't get away with that.
Also the forced "this isn't any good" kind of tossing around the food at the start of each session (the usual not so yummy version) is not cute or effective.

If they simply followed a pattern it might be helpful to know how many manifestations we've had of the same recipe, for example;
First recipe: Introducing Second recipe: Better Third recipe: Best Forth recipe: Ultimate Fifth: Are you kidding me? We have done the same recipe 5 times, I think it's time to move on.
