All,
As a computer professional, I generally think the whole tablet thing is hype, and probably won't own one for another 3-4 years. Just sayin'.

As someone who just learned to use the phrase "beta version" correctly I want an ipad as soon as I can put enough pennies together. I think it depends on how you use your computer. For me it would be a perfect accompaniment to my mac. I want to sit in bed and watch movies or have my recipes in the kitchen. I am sure they will improve incredibly in the next few years, much like the mp3 players. For me it is still something that would be very usable.

Sure. For me, my whole relationship with the computer is through the keyboard. So take that away and I don't wanna use it anymore.
