I found the recipe interesting when I pulled the magazine out of my mail box and promptly forgot about it until my morning e-mail showed up discussing its creation.

Nope, don't subscribe anymore. Have to admit I'm dubious ...

I missed this when I got my magazine so I just went and watched the video.
Looks very interesting, yet really simple. But wait! Isn't there a Better Than Bouillon Vegetable Base?
I don't have much call for vegetable broth, I use a lot of chicken broth.
However, it does look really easy to make, I'd be temped to try it.

The Better Than Boullion vegetable base is really soy-ish. Very unpleasant.

I've been using Savory Choice instant stock for those kinds of things.

I read that article, and it was the first I had heard of making your own vegetable base that way. It sounds interesting, but I tend to use Better Than Bouillon chicken broth for most recipes. If someone tries it, let us know how it turns out.
