I just finished looking at Baked Explorations. They have a recipe for Speculaas that I am very anxious to try. I also called my sister to let her know that their is a recipe for Mallo Cups. After talking for a bit, we realized that they didn't put Coconut in the Chocolate coating that surrounds the Marshmallow center. The list of ingredients on a Mallo Cup just list Coconut. My sister and I think it had to be toasted, because it was slightly crunchy like toasted Coconut. Does anybody remember Mallo Cups?

I just bought both these, along with Dorie's French Table book. There's a lot of good looking recipes in all of them.

Todd,

Given that my father is an obstetrician, I really can't deal with a cookie called "speculaas". No matter how pretty they are.

I got the Baked Explorations first, and after seeing how good the book is, I am going to have to get their other one!

So far I have only made the Rosemary Apricot Squares, which turned out to be absolutely delicious! When I finish my cookie dough for the holidays I'll get back to it, but the Almond Joy Tart will probably be next. I also like the sound of all those recipes containing malted milk powder - something not often seen in recipes.
