Can someone tell me if I was right in buying these cookbooks?
Last weekend the medical society had a book sale here in town, I spent just a few minutes browsing through the many shelves full of books (couldn't stay too long because of allergies :( ). Anyway I had to buy those books, because I know they are good, and the price was great: Pam Anderson's book was $3.00, and the chocolate one :) was $2.00.
Any opinion will be appreciated. Thank you!

I like all of Pam Anderson's books. She used to work for CI, so most of her recipes are similar, if not the same. Some that I like from Perfect Recipe are Chicken Pot Pie, Meatloaf, Coleslaw, Quick Pizza Sauce, Creamed Spinach, various Pasta Salads and Fruit Cobblers.

The Perfect Recipe has the great biscuit recipe most requested on the CI board. I also really like the chicken pot pie recipe. I think I have the other book. I'll have to check (This must be a sure sign that I have wayyyy too many cookbooks). Sigh...

Thank you Trinket and Phoenix!
The famous biscuit recipe!! :)
I have another cookbook from Pam Anderson, but wasn't sure about this one.
Now the "A passion for chocolate", I bought because I love chocolate, and also thought it would be a good addition to my "french" cookbooks collection on top of have being reviewed by Rose Levy Beranbaum.

For two bucks, if it has oned recipe you use more then once you've gotten your moneys worth out of it. if you the it, donate it to your library book sale and feel virtuous.
