I bookmarked her a couple years ago. Rarely have time to check out her blog. But, I have used a couple of her recipes, one in particular for homemade spicy ranch dressing. Good stuff!

Frank would approve, from her FAQ:

Quote:
Your chili—beans or not?
No beans. If you put beans in it I no longer consider it chili--it's now meat and bean soup.

I've bookmarked her tortillas to try....they seem so easy. Any tips on how to measure the flour?

I like her carnitas, and I agree, her flour tortillas are wonderful.

I've been making flour tortillas 3-4 times a week lately. I love them for breakfast with butter and salsa. I'll give her recipe a try. I've been using one by Rick Bayless and one handwritten one from I don't know where. Years ago a friend asked me to help make the tortillas for her wedding reception. There were 4 very old Mexican women there and it was amazing to watch them. They very patiently explained to me how to do everything and I got them down pat. For a couple of years I made them all the time. Then I don't know what happened but I sort of let it go. I've always regretted it. Now I'm getting back in the groove.
