| Post subject: | Uchi--The Cookbook |
Uchi is a Japanese farmhouse and sushi restaurant here in Austin that gets consistent rave reviews. The Executive Chef won this year's James Beard Award for best chef in the Southwest. Unfortunately, we won't have time to get there, as we had a dinner last night, the rehearsal dinner tonight, and the wedding tomorrow night. But I heard about the cookbook they just released, and we stopped by there last night to pick up a signed copy. In what little time I've had I've had to read it, wow, this is some cookbook. Lots of interesting flavor pairings and textures. They have it on Amazon, and I would assume some libraries have it now too. Haven't cooked from it yet, but really looking forward to it. Amy |
