Post subject:  Good Eats cookbooks?

I flipped through the 3rd Good Eats book at Costco the other day, and it really looked like interesting/entertaining reading. I rarely see Food Network, but have pulled enough of Alton Brown's recipes off of FN.com to know they usually work well. So I'm just toying with the idea of asking Santa for the books. Problem is, my limited cookbook shelf space is full and my rule is that to get a new one, I have to get rid of an old one. Problem is, I like all of my old ones :D

Of course I could actually classify these as coffee table books, in which case I could keep them on the table in our den and avoid the cookbook shelf conundrum. But are they worth it?

So if any of you have them, I'd love opinion(s)!

I have the first one. It was a fun read, but I didn't have great luck with the recipes. Even though I like some of the recipes online (his guacamole recipe is my standard).

Emille,
How about checking it out of the library first before buying? I can't tell you how much $ and shelf space this has saved me. ;)
