So, my sweetie just picked up a book called "Great Italian Chefs and Their Secrets" at the library. I don't know how she got it home. It's over a food wide, two feet long, and about the weight of an OED. Lots of pictures. I can't imagine who would buy it, other than a library. I supposed it could be a coffee table book, provided your coffee table was made of welded steel I-beams. More later when I actually page through the thing. |

... hmmm, I'm pretty sure the audience for this book is Amy. The recipes are very modern, and require far too many steps for a home cook. Example: "Pistacio, almond, and hazelnut-crusted black bass with mustard ice cream" However, the book would be an interesting set of ideas for a restaurant chef. Also, if you like reading magazine profiles of chefs, there's 2-3 pages about each of the couple dozen Italian chefs in the book. Amy, you might see if your library has this. Not really the book for me, though. |
