I'm with Fitie, the last time I heard about diagraming a sentence was when I was reading Little House on the Prairie. And none of us are that old. To get back on topic, I'm so mad at myself for not signing up for the lifetime membership when it was offered and posted (either here or on TOBB), drat!

Amy,
It was better than fine. It was amazing.
I used to think sentence diagramming was useless too, but then I had to teach English to people who spoke a language with radically different grammatical structure.

Why is everybody running on about a "sentence"?

I'm wondering how I have gotten by with my (lack of) English skills so long...not fair!

Why the hell is everyone so interested in dissecting my grammar skills. I've got far more important things to think about. Any of you know how to bring a dog back to life?

This weekend, my wife (the accountant) will troll along behind me with the laptop as I call out the ISBN of every cookbook in the joint. Unfortunately, this activity precludes wine but I will have Champagne on ice on the counter as bait and incentive Veuve Clicquot seems appropriate We'll also drink a toast to Clara
