Just to update all of you - the spammers are out again and having a wonderful time. Please PM the moderators whenever you see this as we aren't always on here. Also, please don't click on their links or respond to them. I know that is 'obvious' but I'd feel worse if someone did and I hadn't...

Unfortunately, even though we go to a lot of effort to keep spammers out, we've been the target for the last couple of months. Many of the moves we've made have mitigated the onslaught, but spammers are getting more creative. We moved to a moderated registration process for a while, and that worked (in conjunction with other moves), so we removed it. We may have to return to that tactic again. Hopefully not.

As Wino said, thanks for reporting them. I'll add, if you see one that posts multiple times and neither Wino, Fuzzy, Pete or myself isn't around, send us a PM. We get emails about PMs, but we don't about spam reporting.

Good to know about the PM. I wouldn't have thought of that.
