Unfortunately, Andy and I will not be spending it together as I'm in Chicago and he's on the road to Chicago. Anyone have a special menu they're making?

I'm thinking Shrimp Diablo because we both like it and I have all the ingredients. A nice salad. Maybe Crepes Suzette because that's our favorite dessert or a lemon poundcake because he really likes that. fitzie

Alas, I am mostly just buying. We'll have homemade Leek & Potato soup, followed by a homemade salad course, then a local business has a valentines Charcuterie platter I will pick up with local-ish Charcuterie and Cheeses. She loves Charcuterie, so it should go over well. Not enough time to do a proper meal made by me (babies manage to occupy inordinate amounts of time). Maybe someone else's cheese cake for dessert, one of the local businesses does one with a nut topping that is very nice. On the upside, I have managed to obtain some bavette from the regions finest (by far) beef producer for sunday, and very much look forward to that.

Just getting ready to put an apple pie in the oven. I am making duck breasts with a fruit sauce, cauliflower purée and snow peas. I am wearing my new earrings to do all this (years of training are paying off).
Spread the love!

Geekboy is on one side of the state and I'm on the other. I'm making Tuna Noodle Casserole tonight because my niece likes it and she eats here on Thursdays so that she doesn't have to go home between dance practices. Weee.

I have no idea. We need to go buy a mattress for the oldest tonight since apparently the one he has now from 19 years ago isn't cutting it. and this is the only night in the next 3 weeks that we can go. I'm thinkinging a quick dinner of salmon since we have lots of that in the freezer and hubby knows how to cook that while I get other things done.

Either pizza or wings. I have a ton of party food in the house but nothing to "eat." You know how it is.
