I have already posted these on the gardening forums I go on, and traded for a few new (to me) ones, but I have a LOT left over, if anyone needs any, or had any particular ones in mind. I posted the trade lists I have of greens, tomatoes and peppers, but all of the herbs and the rest of the greens, as I have so many of all of those, that most go bad before I use them all! So I'd rather share, than throw away.

Wow, that's a super-tempting list.

I'm not starting anything except the peas from seed these days, though. When you grow quantities as small as I do (5-8 plants of each thing) the trouble of planting seeds really isn't worth it.

Yeah, Fuzzy, if you aren't starting a lot of things, it's not really worth it, since you have to have a lighting system, a heat mat, or something like that, for starting some things, like peppers, and so forth. But then, the greens can be direct seeded, for the most part, and most can't be found in stores.

Speaking of lighting, something that I got this year to try out is the 4' LED light, with 5,000 lumens @5,000k from Harbor Freight, for just $18.99, which is unheard of, for something like that. The light output is over a standard double 4' shoplight. I'm trying 2 trays of seedlings under 2, to see how they compare to 4 high output T8 bulbs - my usual system.

Seeding is easier than that for me; I have a large picture window with a wide sill that gets plenty of direct light in the spring. However, after sprouting 12-18 of everything last year, and then throwing most of the seedlings away, I decided to just use starts. Here in Portland, we have really good supply of all kinds of starts; between the nurseries, the farmer's markets, and the Master Gardner's show, there's very little I can't get my hands on.

Do the LED lights have the right spectrum?

Fuzzy, I'm not really looking to trade - I did that a few times already, and got pretty much all I can plant (and no, I'm not planting all that stuff I listed! lol). But if they see some things that look interesting, they can just send me a SASE , and I'll send them a few of what they want.
