I thought I posted the memory, but I probably eclipsed it with my new photo posting skill.

When I was in college (I lived at home in Brooklyn), my dad and I would watch Julia Child together. He loved everything about her including her flame red enamel cookware. When I left home to go to grad school, he presented me with a set, flame of course. That was 45 years ago and I still have the set and everytime I pull out one of the pieces, I am reminded of my dad and I watching Julia.

I think I wrote it a little more eloquently for the contest, but that is the gist.

You can always tell a real cook's kitchen. If you use it more than once per week, into the utensil cannister it goes. Nice pot, btw.

Yep!

Ilene, love, love, love the color. Congrats on the win and posting. The memory should have won! It's lovely.

I love Ilene's kitchen. Sort of in the center of the main area, so you can entertain and cook at the same time...with beautiful views into her garden.

Love the memory Ilene.
