June 5-7 works best for me, but if you need to do it a week earlier, that would also work.
June 12-14, I will be in Milwaukee!

The official artwork for Chicago is posted separately!

June 5-7 is better than the following weekend. Emma's birthday is the 13th.

Not crazy about traveling on the holiday weekend but we could make that work depending on Southwest's fares.

I just lost my post. The gist is that I can't take any weekday time off during the first 2 weeks in June, but I can participate and help in weekend events.

I've very interested and the June dates should be fine for me.

Turns out that my previous restrictions on the June 5-7 weekend no longer apply, so count me in. Becky, are you thinking that most of the events will be in the Evanston area? PM me if you need me to help with anything?

So the votes are in-the chosen weekend will be June 5-7.
I will be making calls about the nifty place where I am hoping we can stay, and the restaurant on the ground floor where maybe I can get us a tour and tasting. (For Chicagoans that's Va Pensiero)
There are some nifty cookware stores, and the Chicago chocolate tours, and maybe a trip to meet the bison if folks would be interested.
And of course, the day of cooking together. Let me know what you may like to show off. Or, instead of the demos in a rented space we can gather in my kitchen-which will be MINE! ALL MINE! again and cook what we found at the market. (That will depend on how many people join us.)
I'll also look into a talk about spices from the folks at the Spice House and one on Chocolate from Bob Piron, Belgian chocolatier, and maybe a visit from/to the coffee roatsters.
If people can get in Thursday night we can have our welcoming nosh, then bust out on Friday on the town, shop, cook and eat on Saturday and have a nice brunch on Sunday.
Sound like fun?

So here's the link to the place I was thinking of for housing. I have a whole page of info I can send folks on prices, but basically a room with it's own bath is 150/night and a shared bath is 80/night. It's a lovely establishment. It has a nice parlor for our reception. They can hold a block of rooms for us for a while. If anyone has other ideas, I'm happy to hear them. This has the advantage of being close to public transit.
