Nancy, It's okey dokey. Slightly OT I had after work appointment(not hooking). So I headed from work, picked kids up, dropped them at home(asked H to watch A, warned A not to hurt H ). I had left Rod the grocery list(we were going to have burgers), so I had it covered. Appt ran over, and I got home later than anticipated. The BIG NEWS: Rod can cook now. I came home to find him "cooking" dinner for the kids. They didn't want burgers, so he is making spaghetti with meat sauce for H, and spaghetti Alfredo(jarred)for A; with garlic bread. Good thing I had emergency rations(down to the already cooked spaghetti) in the fridge.( )

We also have 3 freezers and I have been working to empty them for a while now. As of last night the one in the garage only has a spiral ham in it. I used the left over mashed potato's and dressing from Thanksgiving last night. We just got home from a few weeks vacation so it was handy since I have not gotten to the market yet.
The kitchen freezer is almost empty of protien, I am making a trip to the basement today to see what's left down there before I go to the market today. I know I'm out of ground beef. I guess I'm on fill mode now...lol. It won't take me long.
Mary I have a pantry, or two full of little odds and ends too. They looked good to me when I bought them, but I have trouble finding uses for them. I have stopped buying until I can use some of them, (and make room for more). I have had to toss some that were outdated.
I have a big jar of duck sauce I have to figure out how to use. Any sugestions? I'm guessing it's like a sweet and sour sauce.
Glad to see all the old/new faces here!!
Laurie

Laurie, Use the duck sauce as a dipping sauce or use it to glaze stir fried veggies, Mary I just put some chicken tenders that were on sale in my freezer and some naan and some other Indian bread that has onions but I can't remember the a name. I did take out an entire chipotle to chop into an orange/red onion salsa that is going on some fish tonight at my cooking club. We are doing the the theme detox... the holidays are so over.

Mi -- Tempura Shrimp. I love Tempura Shrimp dipped in duck sauce. Geekboy has next Tuesday off. I'm sure we could get to Traverse City in time for dinner.

He can make a mean poptart or instant cream of wheat(cinnamon swirl, even). ps...give her the biggest hug

took 2 containers of a meat/bean/tomato based concoction out of the freezer to serve with northern style cornbread muffins, also from the freezer. Enough left over to use over nachos tomorrow night.

Eggplant parmesan (homegrown ep's). Absolutely delicious. So sorry this was the last batch of the home grown egp.
