I hoard fresh cranberries when they are in season (I freeze them). I've got a few pkgs left.

I actually threw out a few nasty items that I put into the freezer as an intermediary stop. Just could not manage to throw them away when they should have been gone. Today I was just in the mood to do it.

EB, All,
I have a confession. Y'all know my freezers runneth over(hey, who said that); the last time we had an accident and the door wasn't closed well, I felt slightly relieved when I had to toss. Bad side to being a hoarder....when you know it's dead, shriveled, or un-vacpaced, toss it; I have *issues*. A side note, plain old pork sausage has a brief window; it just doesn't freeze for all that long before going "off".

2 pie crusts for quiche (one asparagus/ham, one plain) and a loaf of bread for beans on toast at lunchtime.

Note to self: dig out pork sausage. It's from last years New Year's morning breakfast (as in 2010).

Bacon (cured by Pete), 2 pieces of filet, 2 pieces pork tenderloin. We are getting low on protein. Oh, Italian sausage for Katiepie's soup.

Yes, I found that out this week (freezer inventory.) If I freeze it, I'll put it in the fridge/freezer.

We were kind of meatless last week: Spanokopita, baked ziti, bean soup. I did make CI's Best ever stew, though.

From the freezer: beef tongue, (see other thread) chuck roast for the stew, pork butt for Roasted pork with cherry sauce.

I inventoried the freezer when I started playing. I started taking things out by age. Last night it was some chicken breasts. I can say finally say that the oldest thing in my freezer now is August, 2010. That is real progress.

last night, bag of perogies, sadly not homemade but a good brand,
tonight, 2 chickens roasted from a 3 pack bought at costco (they were on coupon), one will go into the freezer for another day.
will also take some loaves of costco baguettes out of the freezer to finish the baking and then let them hang out for a couple of days, we're out of croutons.
