I did note that they said the Kuhn Rikon took less effort--sometimes I look like a kid trying to get a toy out of the package, if I overstuff the hopper. Side note: the easiest way I've found to clean. Immediately after using, I kerplunk??sp it in a container of water, whether dishwater or whatever, and, after it sits, or when loading the dishwasher, I take a paring knife and flick the plug in the bottom out, else getting it clean is maddening. EB, Trink, where is OTG?

Also, I never, ever chop vegis in my FP. It seems to make my vegis too mushy and wet. Also, it's a pita to clean vs. a knife and cutting board. Trinket, I tossed mine for the same reason. Back to the Susi. CC

I've had a Susi since the Frugal Gourmet. It's still in good shape and works a charm. I've never put it in the dishwasher. Sometimes it's easy to clean and sometimes not.
I do like using the microplane. So far no blood on the counter.
Last night I needed 3 cloves of garlic so I tried (once again) the knife method. Not a chance. Don't know what I do wrong. I been trying since Jacques Pepin's book (is it called Method?) came out and that was eons ago. It's like crocheting. Some can do it and some can't.

Thanks for asking. He's busy with two teen girls, and working long hours. However, he says hello to everyone and will join up when he has some spare time. For anyone who doesn't know, OTG (OnTheGrill) is my brother (EB is my sis)!
