So I will be back East as of next week, through November. Who's up for another fun day in NYC? Or maybe a visit to the CIA, with a stop at Warner's place...

Becky, we are taking the kiddos to CT at the end of August and may go into the city for one day, but likely to do kid related things such as the M of NH and the Central park zoo. If that changes I will let you know, would love to meet up with you again!

I'll throw out a suggestion for September 17th. We'd stay (just) across the Hudson, within a free shuttle of the midtown ferry. Manhattan rooms aren't as cheap as in January...
Earlier than this gets you into Labor Day and then 9/11 anniversary, later gets us a little close to our own October trip. I have alternate Fridays off and the 16th is an off day so this might be our best weekend.
There are some other opportunities when we pass thru NYC in October on our way to the ship and from the plane (planning an overnight in Brooklyn in each direction). These dates would be a Thursday afternoon or a Saturday morning - a side trip to No.7 would work on either end.

If people are still interested, September 17 is looking good to me.

Great! Looking into hotel reservations right now.
I'll keep an eye on Kathy's diet the day before we go up...
Pete
EDIT: Booked! We're staying in Newark, within walking distance of the NJT train to Penn Station. Where should we meet up?

Penn station is Great, because that's where the LIRR arrives. Who else wants to play? Shall we try harder to get to the fount of Asian foods in Flushing?

I won't be able to join you. We have family coming to visit upstate that weekend (and I'm very much looking forward to this visit!). Perhaps we can try again after we get back from France?
