Todd,
Having cooked for hunters at a lodge many times...you can't go wrong with good homemade rolls or bread of any kind, (sticky buns / cinnamon rolls) also CI's Caramel bread pudding was always a big hit!
Knowing the particulars of the group is always nice when determining a menu...things that fill the lodge with wonderful smells are a big plus.
Don't forget that the difference between a good meal and a great meal is about a hour...

Todd, Ina Garten has a stew called Parkers Stew that one of my foodie friends swears by. I haven't tried it, but it's on the Food Networks site.

So Todd, what menu have you decided on?
I made Beef Barley soup today, that might be a great lunch idea for one of the days.

So far, I know I am going to make Carrot Cake Ice Cream, Waffles, Chocolate Waffles, Charred Corn Guacamole, Baked Brownies and Macaroni and Cheese. How's that for a combination?

As long as you're not serving them all at the same time it will be great..lol.
Good luck selecting the rest of the menu. Remember not to do so much it becomes a chore instead of a treat.

Unless these guys are all vegetarians, you needs you some MEAT on that menu. Otherwise it sounds quite tasty.

Friday-Brats and various fried appetizers. No time to cook anything homemade because of time. The Brats were from Jack's Meat Market. Excellent as always.
Saturday
Breakfast- KAF Best Waffles made in my Belgian Waffle Iron. Excellent recipe. Oven Fried Bacon.
Lunch- My moms Mac and Cheese. Everybody loved this.
Afternoon snack. KAF Easy Fresh Apple cake with apples picked from the orchard across the street from the cabin.
Dinner- Tenderloin on the grill, baked potatoes, pole beans and Carrot Cake Ice Cream. The Ice Cream was amazing.
It was a very busy weekend, but I had a great time.

Mom's recipe is very easy.
1 lb of macaroni cooked for about 6-7 minutes. Lots of shredded cheese. I used Colby and Havarti. 6 eggs and about 2 cups of half and half or milk
Beat the eggs in a bowl and add the milk and stir together. Butter a casserole dish. Put about 1 cup of the macaroni in the bottom of the dish. Season with pepper. Add a generous amount of cheese. Pour in some of the custard mixture. Repeat until you have used all the ingredients ending with a layer of cheese. Bake at 350 for about an hour or until the cheese starts to brown on the top and the custard is set.
Pretty easy!
