Thanks Alina. I work right behind the airport, so Fresh Market was the first place I tried. They carry a lot of stuff that's hard to find elsewhere, but no foie gras. I hadn't heard of Marky's before, but with their shipping charges I'd be better off taking Fuzzy up on his black market offer! Thanks for the link, Amy.

We'll be on the QM2 & expect that the food will be fabulous. My mother died this year also & we decided to go away for the holidays.

It appears to have been quite a rough year for everyone. Condolences to all who have experienced a loss and those still struggling.
May good food and those that we love make this a merry season. Overcooked prime rib and all. (JB - my mom's turkey is so dry we are always afraid it is going to explode)

The recipe will be FENNEL AND GARLIC-CRUSTED PORK ROAST WITH WARM QUINCE AND APPLE COMPOST Yup...Hard to find a good Apple Compost like mamma used to make... Add some Tamponade and ya really got something there!
