We're doing a weekend in Center City Philadelphia from about mid-day Friday to mid-day Sunday, March 1-3.
Anyone up for the Italian Market, Chinese supermarkets, or perhaps a meal somewhere?

You can definitely count me in, Pete! I've been looking for an excuse to go to the market...not that I really need one. I rarely go over there anymore, as they opened a large Asian market on this side of the river, but there's nothing like the Italian market.

Darcie: Absolutely. The only catch is that our hotel is on a half-price voucher that I bought in December, but online I can see other places downtown under $100/night.
Dave: Great!

Sonesta Hotel at 1800 Market. http://www.sonesta.com/philadelphia/ On Streetview it's a Crowne Plaza. Check at olotels.com - $107+/night Looking online, the Westin at 99 S 17th has rooms at $111+tax/night (booking.com, priceline), the Rodeway a bit further away at 1208 Walnut is $80 (booking.com) (can't really pull up the $80 rate, apparently) Flights: Try to arrive at BWI by 2pm Friday (or Thursday PM) and we'll pick you up. Return Sunday after ~3.

Well, I don't think I can do it. Got an email from the boss man Friday that we should be prepared for mandatory furloughs. Since we are still down to one income, I need to hoard cash. Boo.
