Not exactly a vacation, but I'll be away for a week starting tomorrow.
Stay cool!

I was lucky to be in Seattle on business in June too, and ate my way through a good portion of seafood there as well. Very different styles of preparation, but both very yummy. Oh, we've been planning to go there for years! My sweetie and I are both Celtic music fans. Not sure when we'll get there though.

Fuzzy, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward island was one of the best vacations we ever had. The seafood was top notch, the people were crazy nice and there was music all over the place. In Cape Breton some guys were just practicing outside, a group of kids were fiddling as we waited for the ferry and there were more musicians on the ferry who were joined by the fiddling kids. On PEI, I saw a sign advertising a ceilidh. We had no idea what it was and, therefore, had to go. Turned out to be a kind of barn dance thing with people just going up and playing music and dancing. Incredible. Someone learned there was a family from Switzerland there and they announced it, along with anniversaries and birthdays and everyone came up and thanked us for coming, taught the kids how to clog. The whole place is magical, worth making time for.

Will be gone for the next couple of weeks, off to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale for a cruise. Looking forward to some sun, sand and extended cocktail hours.

Hope your cruise is excellent and you don't end up stranded in the Atlantic for 8 days while the boat fills up with poop.
