Picking this topic up, since we talked about it on the Christmas thread. I just made a syrup with lime juice, bananas, ginger and cardamom that is very yummy. I just mixed it with the carbonated water but I am thinking that some rum and a slice of lime would take it over the top.
I have also tried it with Lindsay's idea of pomegranate molasses and that was very nice as well. Tart with just a sweet tinge.

Just a note that I found some fruit concentrates by R.W. Knudsen at Whole Foods - our store carries pomegranate, black cherry and cranberry flavors. I add a couple of tablespoons to a full bottle and they're really quite good.

Ikea here sells syrups. We tried the blueberry last time and it was excellent.

Wanted to report back that I love my SodaStream. Have not bought soda since I got it. Bought some of their mixes and Monin cola syrup, which does not have phosphoric acid. Also got a Fresca imitation which took me way back. Just got some Elderflower syrup, which I think will be fun when the weather is nicer. Can't wait to make some lavender and mint syrups and make some nice drinks in the summer. In the meantime, I am really happy how easy it is and that I can refill the bottles at BB&B for $10.00 using the $5.00 off $15.00 coupon.

Don't have one.... I am not a fan of bubbles. ( other than in champagne). But, a friend has one and is playing around with limoncello and orangecelli. She says it works and I am looking forward to testing it with her.

There's no rule that says you can only carbonate non-alcoholic beverages!
