Lu, This recipe is for vanilla ice cream like Dairy Queen popular in the midwest. I haven't made it myself but enjoyed it at a friend's house. After churning the dasher was removed, canister put in the freezer for several hours to let the ice cream harden more to scoop for cones. Hopefully I made the link correct for Vanilla ice cream just like Dairy Queen. http://www.wiveswithknives.net/wp-conte ... G_6712.jpg

The link to Dairy Queen ice milk is to a picture, not the recipe.

I'm not sure if my Cuisinart is dying or if it's just my imagination, but it seems to be turning slower and taking longer. Maybe my freezer isn't cold enough? Time to start searching for a machine with a compressor... The whynter works well. I was fed up with the pre freezing, weakness(and Amazon) ensued.

Had some great ginger ice cream while we were in Munich over the weekend. It makes me want to try to make a batch at home. It looked like an eggless vanilla with little chunks of grated ginger. Any ideas or recipes?
