I had three pans retinned a couple of years ago. No before pictures, but you can see the after on this thread.

I love those pans...

Well, I was just about to press "buy", on the Falk pan when I saw your pans Amy. They are beautiful. The Falk pans are a brushed copper and I'm wondering if I want something shiny........Oi'

I like shiny, but it's a personal preference. I also like shiny hammered.

The gratin dish is an investment, so give yourself a couple of days to decide.

I have about 10 tin lined pans - and lids for most of them. I've had them for 30 years. Some of them do need re-tinning, but I've just never gotten around to it.

If I were to do it again, I'd still get tin.
