Lots of vegetables are frost-hardy. Some should be sown as soon as the ground can be worked (lettuce, spinach, radishes).

My spinach went in this weekend (as per recommended by my book ...). I've started my lettuce (and a bunch of other stuff) under artificial lighting. That said, it is silly warm right now here .. about 83, which is unheard-of in early april.
