I saw a plaque in the store today that said, "It's not box wine, it's Cardboardeaux."

That's funny. I used cheap boxed wine to feed my wine vinegar.

I buy Bota Box. The merlot is what I prefer and I'm not much of a white wine drinker. For the price (and it's always on sale somewhere here) it's a decent everyday wine. In fact, now that I think about it, it may have been the recommendation I read on this forum.

The very best box wines come with twelve portions in a box. I don't know why they put the wine in glass containers.

I bought my friend a can o' wine at whole foods-pinot gris. They also had pinot noir in a can. Not sure how it is.

I'm sorry that the "high quality box wine" thing has kind of fallen off. For a while there were a bunch of reasonably decent box wines, at least for Tuesday night drinking purposes, but a bunch of those makers have stopped doing it. For me, where my sweetie doesn't drink, box wine keeps better than bottles.

I kinda miss my Little Penguin Chardonnay and Shiraz. They stopped selling the boxes a couple of years ago (was decent weeknight Auzzie wine). Lately we've been buying Radio Boka (a Spanish Tempranillo) or Black Box Cabernet for red, and Peller Estates Pinot Grigio (Canadian from the Niagara peninsula) for white. Cheap and cheerful, but we drink far too much of it with that handy spout...
