My surgery went very well. Of course it was 2 hours prep for less than 30 minute surgery. I have 6 or 8 blue stitches now. So far they don't itch or hurt, but I think there will be a scar. Not a worry since it will be in the crease. I do have a huge (about 5") ugly bruise on my arm from the IV, and I keep trying to clean the top of my thumb to no avail. The day after the surgery, I had no pain anywhere

I can't remember when that happened before. Even my allergies took a rest (probably helped by the two cortisone shots I got). I have full mobility in my left hand now.
If I understood correctly, the cyst was on a tendon was in a narrowed tunnel. He opened up the tunnel which will hopefully prevent it from coming back and give me ease of motion. Biopsy of cyst and surrounding area going to rheumatologist for analysis. The shot in the right hand is magic, full range now, no pain. Wish I'd done it earlier. Stiches come out on the 12th, in the meantime, I am supposed to wear a stretchy brace over the wound to remind me I have an injury there, and keeps me from overdoing it. I can feel it if I try to hold anything heavy.
I am a converted righty, so how many things I tend to do with my left hand has been somewhat of a surprise.
