Thank you all for your suggestions. It is hard to find very large ones. Saw some very BEAUTIFUL olive wood ones.... but I guess they would not be all that great for grinding. I have a new neighbor from India. She is very sweet and is teaching me a little about spices -- whole new world for me! My family background is Germany and Wales! -- and no one in my family was really into cooking. Thanks again!

Mind you, I prefer my Indian food grinder to an m&p.

For most spice rubs, I use a cuisinart spice grinder (whirly blade deal). I use the M&P for more 'wet' things, like salsa, guac, garlic paste, etc.
