I made chicken and dumplings for dinner. I finished it early, and let it rest until dinner time, about 1.5 hours. The dumplings, which I tested before turning off the heat, were gummy with a hard center when we ate them. I plan on simmering them some tomorrow, in hopes of resurrecting the fluffiness. Any ideas on what happened? I was using the KA flour recipe for the dumplings.

Never been one for dumplings, probably because I had a lot of them like that when I was growing up! Seems like KAF would have had a good recipe and method, however.

I have no idea for obvious reasons, but I just wanted to share that "Unfortunate Dumplings" is my new acapella bluegrass band name.
