The original McDonald's French fry

A very long article but that is because of the excellent research and tenacity of the author. And a full disclosure I am HAPPY to disclose - I grew up in San Bernardino at the exact time McDonald's was created. I am sure 1/3 of my body is 'hamburgers/French Fries/ & chocolate milkshake'. 1/3 is Mexican and 1/3 is whatever my both working parents threw together for 3 semi-ungrateful hooligans. My high school was basically right next door and my home was about 1 mile away. Truly, as the article mentions, we would ride our bikes to get fries!

Beef tallow and crisco! No wonder people were having heart attacks in their 40s! That sounds like a formula for a spouse trying to get rid of their significant other. :lol:

Damn!, those fries were good! I'm pretty sure youth are impervious to junk food. Between studying, sports, and growing - - -

SS - Left Berdoo to do a BA in the redwoods (rain forest), followed that with blizzards on Canuck prairies to do an MA. Canucks are devious though - lower drinking age, the phrase "Let's just go for one," and pretty women - I didn't stand a chance.

I remember reading that they only sold one size of fries, figuring people could get more than one. It took a while to understand that people thought multiple bags looked gluttonous, but an extra large serving of the same amount of fries in one container was ok.

Wino, I lived in Ontario for seven years back in the 70s. I also did some college there. Dumped the guy and finished my education stateside. Since then, I've moved around, Michigan, California, North Carolina, Arizona, and Florida. Spent 24 of the last 30 in Florida in 3 separate stays. The Canucks didn't convince me that snow was better than sun.

My sweetie and I met over cheese fries. Orginal McD's can't really be worse, health-wise.
