Here are some first pictures of Wendell, a 2 1/2-year-old Weimaraner who came to live with us tonight. IMG_0275 by pdhenry, on Flickr IMG_0281 by pdhenry, on Flickr He had been living with his (dog) parents and 2 siblings, so this house is pretty big and empty for him. His old house was a single story, and he can't yet quite comprehend the concept of stairs. He follows me everywhere, but if I go up the stairs he walks around looking for me on the ground floor. I'm afraid that once I get him upstairs I'll have to carry him down... More photos on Sunday...

Hi Wendell! You guys are going to have a blast with a dog. We play with the weims at the park with Jazz on occasion, they are wonderful. And beautiful!

He's beautiful! I love weimaraners. My niece works for William Wegman...the guy who does all the famous photographs of them.
Clara was scared of stairs too...pretty soon he'll be tearing up and down them.
Congrats!

He is gorgeous! As I have a constant hair battle, I would not mind if Mitch did not go upstairs. Have fun with him.

What a lovely pooch! He'll figure out stairs quick enough. A cat who had lived only in apartments moved into my 3 story house and it took him a week or less to be going up and down with ease. Weimaraners are pretty smart too.

thanks for all your nice comments. So far, he doesn't like a leash, just stands there & won't move & wouldn't go in the crate. One of us has some learnin' to do.
