Has absoluty nothing to do with cooking unless you imagine Kurt or Lou tring to get to their smoker... RR CROSSING in North Dakota You can barely see the train, but you can't see the track! This was taken at a crossing near Donnybrook, North Dakota, about 40 miles northwest of Minot on US 52. Almost makes you want to see it in real life.....or not! http://d.yimg.com/kq/groups/1311127/711 ... ING_ND.wmv

Try living there!!! I'm a *little* further south, but we are in the midst of another storm, expecting 12" by tomorrow. Since 6:30 a.m., it has snowed 4 inches. The worst part is we had a week of warm weather and the streets, sidewalks and driveways were finally clear.
It's weather for baking bread, making soups and stews, and sitting by the fireplace drinking. A lot.

So, I guess that means you don't want to hear about the rib-eyes and jumbo shrimp on the grill at my house today?

I feel lucky. All of our snow melted this week and we're just supposed to get snow showers tonight. Highs in the 40s or so all week.

We might get showers, too. Frozen rain on top of 4-5 inches of snow. I haven't seen one plow all day.

That pretty much describes Denver...all snow gone and high 40's and 50's next week Fortunately, the mountains are getting plenty of snow for the holiday weekend. I am so ready for the crocuses to start peeking out.

My daughter would love more snow, but after the ice and snow storm; I think I am done with snow for year, especially with soccer practice starting in 2 weeks.
Ribs were on sale this week and I was very tempted to pull out the smoker, but the forecast was strong winds all weekend.

I want to start a thread called "Not enough snow!"
While the northern Colorado mountains have gotten tons of snow this winter, we're feeling kind of deprived down here.
All snow care packages welcome...

Drove to a small town 90 minutes from our place yesterday for hockey and highways were closed due to snow and wind. We experienced everything from clear dry roads, whiteouts and sleet. Today -11 C, and my car, which had the battery replaced on Friday, is deader than a doornail. Cannot wait for spring!
