Crystal,

That knife drawer is nice. I think that's the answer to my MIL's knife storage woes.

Okay guys,
Rod finished last night.
Now, let's see if Tim catches what is different. 8-)

WOW! That shamefully dirty saucepan looks almost like A-C MasterChef or MC2. Or might it be my Mom's Club Aluminum?

If I ever remodel this kitchen, I will have drawers, drawers, drawers. I get so tired of getting on my hands & knees to pull out a pot or pan. DH says he will do it for me but where is he when I need him? And let's not even talk about the dead spaces!

My NY resolve is to clean out the two misc drawers in the kitchen which are practically useless anyway as they are only about 2" deep.

Fitzie,
I've held off on finishing--you just wouldn't believe how much I can put on a credit card ( :o ); however, I've determined that while I do like the rev a shelf pullouts, I like the sliding shelves better(it does pay to test these things :ugeek: ). Having determined this, I applied myself to building a better mousetrap, and found them 1/2 price, and
custom sized. :P. Ps, easier to install as well, 4 screws accd to my sweetie.

Fuzzy,
The knife drawer is incredibly well made; all the dividers are screwed in, instead of stapled. Around $40, amazon, revashelf brand.

Crystal,

I was just looking at the knife drawer again, and realized that the Chinese cleaver looks very familiar ...

hmmmm, this might solve the issue I have with the cheap prebuilt cabinets at our local home mart. Putting cabinets in a small kitchen in the basement and the cabinets are nice looking and economical but only have a half shelf in all the bottom cabinets, so this is a good compromise. thanks Crystal!
