So:

You're sick with a cold or flu or similar. You're not very hungry, but you have some appetite. Your sweetie is healthy, though. What do they make for you?

Me: homemade tomato soup (Mollie Katzen recipe), grilled cheese sandwiches (Nicasio Valley cheese on Acme bread -- ok, so it's stupid gourmet. I do live in SF).

I seem to crave saltine crackers for some reason. Handfuls of them.

Hubby makes me tea or will go to the store or heat up Progresso canned soup. Actually, that tastes pretty good to me to when sick.

I also like to make instant mashed potatoes. Seeing the thread of salty blandness with all these items.

depends on what kind of sick I am...with colds etc, I don't really eat that much differently, although I will say Kung Pao (usually shrimp) is my decongestant of choice...tummy troubles send me to the carbs - bread crackers oatmeal etc

If I have a bad cold or flu like symptoms and don't have anything I can just warm up...I order in from the neighborhood Chinese/Thai/Vietnamese delivery place.

If I am queasy, I'll try tea and toast or crackers.
